Thane Standard Flugelhorn
The new Thane flugelhorn is here! Built on a horizontal slide configuration instead of vertical for air flow efficiency and ergonomics. No more needing to add triggers and extra solder points because each Thane Flugelhorn comes with thumb hook or ring and third slide ring to easily move and fine tune any note. Built on a Medium/ML bore casing and tubing allows ease of playing and lots of control when playing throughout all registers of the instrument. Three leadpipe options from narrow to large taper offer a different blow to the instrument and allows for even more versatility. All leadpipes available with any shank taper receiver to fit the flugelhorn mouthpiece you are used to.

2 - Narrow - more constricted and more back pressure.
4 - Medium - similar to other standard flugelhorn pipes on the market.
6 - Open - even more open and free blowing, even less back pressure.
Thane Flugelhorns come in Standard weight (Right) or Heavyweight (Left).
Thane Heavyweight Flugelhorn. Thin bronze bell curve and branch braces for added weight and stability. Heavyweight caps with thin O-rings for tension desire on bottom caps. Bell to casings sculpted sheet metal cross brace add stability and balance to the overall horn. Options for slide rings or hooks and pinky hook or ring. Designed like the standard weight Flugel but with precision weight added in specific amount and location to bring the whole horn up in weight.
The added weight and extra designed parts of this heavyweight Flugelhorn adds a depth to the sound that can’t be matched. A broad rich tone is its standard sound quality and with the added weight it resonates that much more making it very efficient and incredibly easy to play. The weight stabilizes the blow of the instrument and produces a very resonant sound that is easy to project to the back of any hall. INCREDIBLY fun to play and with all the leadpipe options AVAILABLE this is one amazingly VERSATILE flugelhorn!
